Speedrunning Plans for 2019

I think it's time to make some plans for the year again, so here's a list of games I wanna run this year:

  • Pokemon Sapphire (any% glitchless)
  • Pokemon Ruby (JP any% glitched) (still need the game)
  • Pokemon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire

I'll also continue these games at some point:

  • Pokemon Emerald (any% glitchless and glitched)
  • Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Team Blue (single-segment)
  • Fire Emblem: Awakening (NG Normal/Classic, maybe also Hard/Classic and NG+ Normal/Classic)
  • Portal (any% glitchless, maybe also any% inbounds legacy

Other than those I have a few non-Pokemon games still on play casual ToDo list, but am definitely considering looking into speedruns for those, so the list might change a little at some point. One of those games is the upcoming Fire Emblem: Three Houses. Currently I'm casually playing through Hyperdevotion Noire, which I might attempt routing myself after that playthrough. Next up from the list is Fire Emblem: Awakening!

Gen3 Damage Calc Update: Advanced Mode

Gen3 Damage Calc Update: Advanced Mode

Another weekend, another update to my damage calculator. The stat entry area now has a toggleable advanced mode that allows to enter EVs, IVs and Nature instead of just the specific stat.

Advanced Mode also makes it possible to pick the attacking Pokemon for the purpose of having base stats to pull from. Switching back to normal mode carries over the calculated stat (it's actually updated in the background everytime you change a relevant field in advanced mode).

Gen3 Damage Calc Update: Search

Gen3 Damage Calc Update: Search

A new feature has been added to the Gen3 Damage Calc: You can now search for the defending Pokemon's typing by its name! This change might seem small currently, but the database also holds other stats, that will also get used by upcoming features.

To search for a Pokemon simply enter its name into the uppermost text field and select it from the list. Thanks to a simple text-search you can also just put parts of the name like "eon" to find the Eeveelutions.

2018 Art Recap

2018 Art Recap

First full year of doing tons of pixelart. This year I mostly focused on anime art, because I only seemed to do Pokemon all the time. In april I got into LoveLive and later on BanGDream, so I made tons of art for those.

I also tried larger scale pixelart, like the Ika Musume Fanart I made for Ikaheishi and my two OCs for myself and my Twitch/Discord Bot. I still need to learn a lot about detail work, but we're getting there :3

Side note: I'm also hoping to use this Blog more often in 2019. I recently finished and streamed the recording of my Emerald currentRoute (even tho it's slightly outdated by now) TAS, so that will be releasing together with a post next year!

New !slots command

New !slots command

I recently finally went ahead and renamed my bot to KitsuneeMaid and gave her an original character and decided now would be the best time to make a new slots command happen!

The new !slots command keeps track of your results, which you can check using !slots record. To keep a bit of balance the command now has a cooldown, which is currently set to 1hour. Note that this cooldown will not reset should the bot need to reboot!

KitsuneeMaid hasn't moved to her Linux machine yet, so she's still running on my PC for now. I'm planning to get a new monitor first. The Commands Page has been updated already (and of course also renamed).

Popout-Maker v1.2.1

I updated Popout-Maker with a new interface and used that to re-learn some CSS things I hadn't used in a while. Really starting to love throwing slight gradients and text-shadows everywhere.

I also fixed a bug that I never noticed. Apparently, when taking the data for $_GET PHP filters out slashes that follow eachother. This happened for http://, which basically broke the API's output and therefore the entire point of presets, being that you can just open a bookmark, press Enter and have your popout.

2017 Art Recap

2017 Art Recap

Turns out I made a bunch of pixelart in 2017. Let's take that as the thing to remember from this year. The art, fun had with speedruns and all the amazing people I've met [...]
